Got home just after 5, Carmel was still here and just about to leave looking and feeling a whole lot better than first thing this morning.
All thanks goes to everyone who made the trip, thanks people![]()
Loved the prison, great place to stay, may have to do it again someday.
Up early this morning so went for a walk around Ohura and took some photos.
Time for a cup of tea and a hot shower then load some photos...anyone heard from Sabine and Gary?
Got ya text Murray thanks, figure you guys had just gone home.
to chime in with the others,
home now, contemplating dinner after a shower.
good ride, good company, good roads and an nice feed yesterday.
all in all, a regular l'ride.
three cheers to the M&M's
squeek squeek
Home safe and sound (of body not mind)
Bit dodgy on motorway home, body decided to remind me whose boss.
OMG I had so much fun. Thoroughly enjoyed it. From 'acquiring' kiwi fruit, to walking train tracks. Rain and shine.
Thank you Mark and Mom for having me up front. My riding thoroughly improved by following your lines into corners. Moments of clarity!!
Body hurts, but I like it.
November here I come!
What's the point in living if you don't feel alive?
Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.
Ditto, thanks for a great ride and company, really interesting roads and venue - never seen so many teapots in one place before! Still think Stephen King should set his next novel there.
Only downside was my boots leaked on the way back - still got a couple of beers left tho, so.
Moe: Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I...I can't compete with that stuff.- The Simpsons
I'll admit I got lazy in photo taking with this one.

Cape ride I'm thinking about bringing a GoPro.
Te audire no possum. Musa sapientum fixa est in aure.
Yet another wonderful weekend away with the Angels. New friends to make - made. Old friends to catch up with - done. New place to visit - absolutely, I have the card to prove I have been to the Ohura Cossy Club![]()
Things I have learned;
Clambering up on the back of Marks Bike in a jacket far too big for me, with my hand/claw combination gets progressively harder every time you do it. I would have expected it to get easier with practise
Waikato fog is friggen freezing! Brrrrrrrrrr, that would rank up there with the coldest I have been on a bike, serves me right for not wearing enough layers - just one more was the answer
We live in a beautiful country! What magnificent vistas the King Country provides - stunning scenery
King Country Truckies and Horse Floaters have zero respect for the centre line, luckily I can give the universal hand signal really well on the non claw side
I prefer the sour lemocello to the sweet one, Moreporks eat moths, and bulimia IS as rude and irreverent as I remembered him from the "Naki trip
Marks Jacket IS fully waterproofHis pants however are not
Luckily I was not wearing his pants
More after a feed...
Mind you, speaking of feeds, that trough at the Prison was bloody beautiful!
Thanks for your company everyone. See you on the next one.
Great pics Doogle! A GoPro for the cape ride is a great idea.
My pics are in my kb album.

Ohh maybe I could bring my Go Pro for the cape ride too.
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.
I am home safe and sound, no thanks to the weather which was consistently crappy from Ngaruawhaia all the way back to Whangarei![]()

Our early morning stroll around the city was brilliant, but the neighbourhood watch is abysmal...
We wound up every dog (I think the out number the locals) on every street.
Cossy Club last night?.. KBers 12 - Locals 1 (not counting the barman)
How was that Pollen through the Waimiha area today?
..and some more pics
I like the special menu they made up for us
The food was quite something to be honest, the rooms were cosy and warm.
I managed to get one of some bikes too.
Actually, the photos I have seen so far show rather dry roads..
Already thinking about a March 2014 ride, but we'll get the Cape one done first...Some people told me yesterday that they have already booked at The San Marino for Nov![]()
