I can see I need to practice my universal hand signal.

Awesome weekend, thank you all so much! Great to meet a whole lotta new people (shame I was just too shattered on Saturday night to make a night of it).
Enjoyed the route, a few stretches of road I was very tempted to pop back and check another couple of times. Even the rain didn't matter too much, aside from fogged visor.

Quite pleased with how well Tigger was running, no battery issues = yay. Seemed to need gear shifting more regularly than some...
I'd rather be sorry for something I've done, than for something I didn't do.

Firstly thanks to Mark and Ann for organising such a great event. Things I remember form the weekend....

NOT being rude or irreverent at any time.
A certain bike rider who wishes to replace her L plate with a sign that reads "If you are going to ride my ass, you could at least pull my hair"
Running out of fuel on the way into Te Kuiti and coasting down the hill to the BP station
Sunshine all the way through the Naki, rain and mist in King country and more sunshine when I got back to the Naki.
A strange local gazing for hours at the notice board in the Cosi club.
Grasshoppers orange hair....it's more a locust colour.
Making it home from Te Kuiti in 100 minutes.....allegedly

My last bar on my fuel guage started flashing and my dash flashed "FUEL" for 30km before Taunarunui. You win the cutting it close game!

Strangely wikipedia says I have an 18L tank. When I filled up it took a bit more than 14L. Could have made it to te Kuiti.

So it is more matching the colour of your bike than mine? I want my money back.

I do remember 6 (7?) people staring at a very fascinating street light in the middle of the night for about 20 minutes...

I have a similar issue with my zx10, I have only ever managed to get about 13L into the tank after the light has been flashing for 20k's even though i supposedly have a 17L tank.

I wonder if that 17L is without the fuel pump and with the tank completely filled so that it would be spilling over the gas cap.

My specs say that I have a 22l tank. When it ran empty down the hill I could only squeeze 20.66l in. Maybe the fuel uncovered the outlet as I was heading downhill. Well at least I know that I can do 50kms from when the last bar starts flashing.

He was just protecting us from the locals lol. Damn country bumpkins.

I just want to repeat I had a totally awesome time. Keep remembering checking my mirrors and seeing a trail of bikes in formation behind me and then looking ahead and following perfect lines round corners. Was awesome!!

So who wanted me to make limoncello? Provide me the vodka and ill do the rest. Only payment is that I get to keep the excess. Which depending on how sweet you want it is only usually 300-500ml or so.

Anyone see the Seven Sharp bit on the Prison last night? seems you can own it for a mere $100K. All I need now is another 99 people and we can buy it.
