    You've changed man.
Well I did wonder how the clue from the first car could already have been forgotten by the time the second car came along - but I think someone's alluded to that already.

I've seen a pedestrian knocked over crossing along kroad on the northern side looking down queen st. Its a bad spot. I turn down queen there and pedestrians are usually crossing when they are not supposed to. That intersection needs work.

My main worry around there is along the beginning of great north Road through the car dealerships toward grey lynn.... is all the side street traffic. During some rush hours peeps dont look well, I'm often slowing and braking when I see a waiting side street car inch forward trying to enter Gt North Rd traffic.

Travelling in the bus and bike lane can be very dangerous! Sometime your in the lee of the centerline lane traffic, and opposing traffic turning into side roads doesnt see you if your on the outside pavement lane.

Travelling near the centerline gives you visibility both by you and of you. And the seal is usually smoother.

Sitting near the kerb can make you look like a slow cyclist to the infantile mind of some monkeys who drive. Being forthright and clear in your road position gives better visibility to others

Intersections, particularly busy ones, always require eyes everywhere and lightning quick reflexes. I'm sure once you are back in the saddle you will ride with that lesson branded into your memory. In the meantime, continue to heal and I hope all goes well in regard to your wheels.

You're completely right. I've learnt that the hard way. Never letting that same mistake happen twice.

    Take care and heal up.
Walaikom salam! Yeah no matter whose right or wrong, bikers always end up with the pain and trying to recover.

YUP BUT!!! Police will only let me have it once the court date has passed and they have charged the driver of the car.

Yeah like before, the bike is a total ride off. On other news I just went along and picked up a Honda CBR250RR MC22. Wow.. it blows my kawi ninja I had out of the wind.
I'll leave it in storage till my leg is fully healed, then never repeating that same mistake again.

Yeah even the police admit they have nearly a crash every week on that intersection. I've taken my own initiative to sort that main traffic light junction out. Police have been going back and forth to the lights and they themselves have had some close calls. I'm annoying the shit out of them to calibrate the lights differently.

Ah don't get me started in the bus lane! The guy in my ward at Auckland hospital was struck the same day as me out at the shore by the Bus lane. He said a car swerved into him at 40km. He's in his mid 40's.. he ended up breaking a few ribs and damaging the back of his spine tissue.. he had to sit/sleep on a straight chair for a long while

I think you mean "write-off". As in written off the books when it's value is reduced to zero.
