Battery pack changes must be able to be made easily enough, or the bikes design changed to make it so. So there's only the cost of more batteries stopping them from completeling the event proper I guess.

The excitement could come from seeing how many mechanics get burned through hot batteries or shocked though damaged ones! What fun for the family

The excitement could also come, when a bike gets left in the trees for a couple hours after a crash, and starts a forest fire from not being switched off properly too!

500VDC doesn't sound like a lot of fun....

I guess that's another limitation facing EV's, finding mechanics (or automotive electricians as the term may turn) with +400VDC certification....
