    Im thinking of going racing

For a total novice racer what would be the best bike to race on?
I have no dreams of being a world class road racer.
I'm an experienced road rider but this racing bit looks like fun.
My bike has 3 wheels-You gotta problem with that???

CBR/ZXR250 and race in the streetstock. Racing at 18,000rpm is incredible, and they aren't that fast so they would be a good place to start racing

Problem is that there is no SS250 class in Auckland...

Best bet is witha an oldschool 400 or a newer SV650 and race in F3...
See Robert Taylor for any Ohlins requirements www.northwest.co.nz

Can't go wrong with that combo. Or if you feel competent enough, a oldish model 600 in the clubmans class.

If you're looking for the cheapest option then buckets might be an option. Can start out for next to nothing but can spend a bunch if wanted. Still very competative.

Scooter racing is where is at....
Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even.
