To learn from it, to be able to identify the early warning signs for next time, to work out better ways to deal with it. Seems strange coming from one that claims he is all for bikers learning from what happened rather than blaming others - perhaps that's not what you are about after all, perhaps it is just having a go at others, like you are Ed and Scummy.

I don't know why you're always so cranky. Do you need a hug? All I asked was a question and people seemed to get defensive. I never said there was anything wrong with recording ones daily commute in fact I didn't even say it's not something that I'd ever do. I just don't because I haven't had any experiences that would make me feel it was warranted and I also can't be stuffed doing it. My prerogative.
Yes, thank you! with the exception of getting my knickers in a knot over some moo cow tailgating me and trying to undertake me by driving on the shoulder in an aforementioned post by Willy, I've never reported anyone or spent any more than a few minutes feeling shitty because of some other motorists poor road manners. Maybe you get immune to it to some degree in Auckland, I don't know.
Maybe I should video my commute to and from work for a week for shits and giggles? and then everyone can tell me how much of a shitty rider I am!?
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.
As long as you put in a 6th gear pull, a few wheelies, 140kph lane splitting and a burnout.Maybe I should video my commute to and from work for a week for shits and giggles? and then everyone can tell me how much of a shitty rider I am!?

I videoed my ride home in 1994 on a Sony handy cam.
40ks up the Manukau peninsula on my SD900.
It came out exellent but I still need to transfer it to DVD.
Would like a Gopro but can't afford it right now, maybe in the future so I can watch my old roads again when I'm living in an old folks home.
That is what the fuck I am talking about. I like the fact his indicators are just hanging uselessly by the wires. Don't need them anyway, anit no ones business to know where your going...
There is no other reason to use a camera on a bike unless it involves doing something shaddy...
Once some cock of a copper writes you a ticket for 130something when you were doing about 110 you'll realise that a camera is a good investment.
