Electronic surveilance of our citizens is nothing new.

I was being watched way back in 1997. We had just bought our first computer. The 2nd morning we had it, I got home from work at 8am. The wife had gone out so I sat down to the new toy, entered "adult porn' into the search engine and there it was/ lots of porn websites. I opened the first one, barely 5 minutes and there was a heavy knocking on the door. With a shaking hand I opened the door and standing there was a local cop.

Christ, they were quick. He tried to pretend he was looking for some guy that used to live at the house, but I knew better. I was able to bluff my way out of that. Geez I was relieved when a work mate told me how to erase the browsing history.

Big brother is definitely out there, and watching.
