    Skiing or riding the bike?

Living in Queenstown for 3 months of the year riding the bike is not really an option. snow, ice ,grit are not a good combination with A motor-sickle.
So for me I ski in winter, and the bikes parked up.
What do you do? Ride the bike for fun, ski for fun and no motorcycle for the winter, or do you swing Both ways?

We ride round Queenstown laughing at all the dudes parking their bikes up for winter. Nah, supposed to be doing a snow ride tomorrow in the Eyer mtns, across the lake from you.

If you were here. I would let you. Then I could give it a good thrash to see if I want one.

Imagine Can Am Spider with tracks and skis rather than wheels. Yes, you do want one.

Come one, give us queenstowners a break. The weather and road conditions are not biker friendly. I take it you like to stay upright? Have a great snow ride by the way!

Fresh snow is fun to ride in, but I do agree with leaving the bike at home if the snow has been compacted to ice. I'm only a few kms away from you and I still ride almost right through winter. However, tomorrow I might be a wuss and take the truck to work. A forecast - 10 is even too cold for me.
    Time to ride

Ice is only fun if you are off road and are having a laugh, not great on the road. Snow cat would be fun around the south at the moment, are there still some at shingle creek, anyone?
