The part is not specific to just the X7 I don't think.

Suzuki ones have always been shit, get an aftermarket one for less money too.

He told me that they are quite specific to that year, I had managed to find one online for 175 euros but was hoping someone here might have something

I would be very surprised if it is a single model specific part. Or even a rare kind of reg/rec. They're just not complex enough for anyone to do it differently than the norm.

Find out how many wires it has, and I would bet a hefty amount that a generic after market one with the same number of wires will work.

If it's a five wire, chuck your RGV one in there to see if it works. I really don't think it will be a six wire, but if it is, find a Honda to steal one from and do the same.

Check out www.suzuki-gt.co.uk, both forums, wreckers and online shop. I can help with advice, or port maps if you want a bit more speed.

Throw a yam 6wire on it. 3 phase wires in +&- out the last wire is feedback so run to a switched power wire. Usually near rear brake is easy. Really its that simple on these old shonkers.
Don't you look at my accountant.

It's that easy on a K2 gixxer too.

people will tell you its a complex science of matching components. but they're full of it for such a simple low current draw bike.
