    Firemen can be tossers too

Hey, love that these guys will come and put out my cat-es-tro-phic fire but.....

We are experiencing some wiiiiiild weather tonight in Wellington. I went out as I saw the sirens flashing at the neighbours. I asked if there was anything I could do to help (tea, coffee, bed for the night etc) and he looked at me and told me to watch out for the fire-truck door. Toss-bag made it seem like I was stealing his thunder and he was well-above mere mortals like myself.

Fucker. Hope he get's a blister from a hot hose (but seriously hope he has a better attitude when it counts).

If someone's trying to help, say "Thank you citizen, we will contact you if in need."
    "This is not a car."

One - he was rather busy.

Two - every group has wankers in it.

    Read KB for example.

Feel free to include me, I dont care.

Get a uniform job if it means that much to you.

    Get over it.

    This sums it up.

He probably viewed you as another person who should be inside their house and staying out of danger,
Not one more person for him to worry about, I wouldn't take it personally.

Dial 111 - you'll need a fire pump to reinflate your ego.

One night a van took out a powerpole outside our place. I tended to the huge mess and the driver and stuck my car up the road with the hazards on off to the side to get people to pay attention. Anyway the fire guys showed up, told them what happened and etc . Cops took a statement, all good and I'll be on my way then. Go back to my car, rural area so this had all taken about an hour. My first slight quibble was I'd picked up the big concrete chunks and threw them in the drain. One fireman got upset and said it was a stupid thing to do; little miffed cause where the road was had heaps of vision and it wasn't like I stood in the way of the handful of cars that even use the road.

But wanted to go back to working on my jobs so get in my car and go to put it back in the driveway when "Sorry sir there has been an accident, you'll have to go around". This is 20 feet from my driveway, I could of almost pissed the distance with a good squeeze. Anyway after finding he wouldn't budge from standing in front of my car and was being an abrasive prick I let him have some choice words for being a complete knob and did what I was told; I went around.....this was my quadcam V6 lexus motor powered mr2 with straight pipes at the time. I made sure he heard every minute of me driving around which was quite a few miles. When I get back around I'm back on the other side, 20 feet from where we started with him still standing there.

Didn't exactly offer them all a coffee and a scones after that. It was in the front fence anyway, I could stand closer to it on the shop's property than driving past.

I think they should start arming our rural fire brigade. whatever you do, dont come to gore and get all whiney about big mean fireys cos they will put you in the truck and take you for the ride your granny always warned you about. They are there to do a very tough job, stay the fuck out of their way.

Yep and then watch how pissed off you get when people get in your way... If military or civil authorities are at the scene, they got that shit under control.

whatever you do, dont come to gore
Don't worry. Gore would be the last place I would ever intend on visiting... Would rather blow my nose and eat it...

Yeah, its a scary place for gay men. You better stay around the shore, where it is safe to be gay and proud.

Why? Is there something wrong with you...? Do you like to see people get hurt?

Says someone that lives in AucklandStill not so bad if your elderly i guess, the transition from living in Auckland to death would barely be noticeable.Go back awhile to the Christchurch earthquakes the outcome for many would have been far worse if Joe Public simply sat on there arse and waited for Emergency services to turn up and help the many in need.
