HaHa, I take you dont have 2 Mill stashed unbder the bed either then ?, - (and if you did you'd probably only waste it on a freak of nature with 3 legs........)

Half the budget is pulled down by staff alone with 5 fulltime at 100K average. (its a business not a sport), but i still like the notion that club racers know better......

Haha, yes, just information for the less informed.

Probably in the end makes any dreams of Moto2 racing push further away for most Kiwis, but once you know what the targets are some people can aim for them and hit them. Makes it hard if you don't know what the targets are.

Currently they are suggesting a " limit" of 15m Euro for motogp teams,,,,,,,, (some spend double that), so 2-3m for Moto2 is cheap.

I think that what we need to really get this thread going is to suggest that Gino Reas statement that they are using " Ohlins " may well be the staw that breaks the teams back......

If you can hire someone good for $100k-$200k to act as the person raising funds (sponsor management, etc) to bring in $600k-$1M, it might work.

But, is this costing under the assumption the racer races for free? Because, if you have to hire a good racer, I'd imagine the pricetag would baloon quite a bit.

The reality is that a number of competing suspension companies are pricing product with almost no margin and are actually giving product away. And we know where that leads to.
Gino has been more recently on K-Tech and then Showa. I think his comment about what he is now using is quite telling, he had a choice.
