    Begging for sale... Now with pics!!

    Now I know that none of you want the Shiatzu Jihad!! (Dihatsu Charade alluded to in my sig) I'm not asking anyone here to buy it or swap something for it. What I am asking is;

    Does anyone know of anyone that may like to buy it? Could you (KBers) ask around - your freinds, family, workmates.... you get the idea. As I said I know this may be a stretch asking bikers for this kind (Cage) of help but it would go along way to help me get back on a bike - where I'd prefer to be. At $500 it's a good buy, I think, good for a learner or a very cheap commuter (almost as cheap as a bike!!)

    To those of you, esp. Flash, that I've given grief about this car before - this is not a wind up. This car has to go to get me either onto a cheapie crapper or contribute to my meager bike savings.

    Beg Beg Beg ..... Show me the love people....

    *edit*
    I have found a rust spot!! Well it's a little ding! Very light surface rust and a little ding, I have circled it in the first pic and taken a close up in the fourth. I there's a shot of the blue door and the interior - is clean and tidy.
    I should have put these details up too;

    The car is a 1000cc manual. It's done approx 134,000k's. Registered til end of May. No problems for a warrant, it'll get done this week. There are no mechanical or and only one spot of rust. I have replaced the passenger side door (and the cars door lock, so the key works) that had a rust hole in the underside (the car is gold the door blue).
    I have also replaced the fuel pump (1yr ago), radiator (2 & 1/2 yr ago) and leads in the past 5 years. It is an awesome runner and $20 petrol takes 3-4 days back and forth to Porirua to use. Never had a problem starting it.

    There, that should cover things.

    Have you tried trademe?
    Thats quite often a fast way of getting rid of a car.

    To be honest I wouldn't know how and I'd get less and I'd have to pay to list as well? Just thought I'd ask around here first. Respectful like so as not to upset anyone I've previously upset with the Jihad

    Costs $20 to list but I know there's heaps of buyers which look there. There's certainly more potential buyers than on KB.

    It looks straight foward enough to run an auction / classified ad provided you have a trade me account and some photos.

    ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE!!!!

    Seriously.

    The more places you advertise in, the more people know about it. TradeMe costs $20 to put it on, and that lasts until it sells or you remove the ad. Pretty easy to do, but you need an account first. I'm sure a nice KBer has one and would help you set up the ad. Put it in newspapers, and have a sign in your car with some details on it.

    Good luck dude, I sold 3 cars in the last year before ending up with my bike and I know how friggin hard it is to sell them!

    Oh and before I forget, advertise it in the foyer of an Islamic church as the Jihad. It will sell in seconds.

    Hope ya get a bike soon dude, yours sincerely,

    Oh and on TradeMe, make a classified listing rather than an auction, because auctions are GHEY

    The turbo versions of those cars are over 100hp from 993cc. I've read rumours of 200hp.

    I had a GTti,yep - 100hp from a 3 cyl 1000cc motor,very serious get up and go.Definatly up there with Skylines and Legacy's,and on a twisty road would probably run away from those barges.Strong Bros would run theirs at 30psi boost - and never lost a motor,tough stuff.

    The block is the only thing the GTti has in common with your Charade - forged pistons,lower oil gallery with two oil jets squirting under each piston,higher volume oil pump and an oil cooler.They also have a DOHC 12 valve cyl head.

    Ahhh. So not a good idea just to chuck something turbo "looking" on top then? Still a great little car - economic to run...
