Ran this on my phone on the weekend, https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...racechrono.app
It maps the track and shows you the speed around the whole track.

    The old BMW managed 166KMPH, # 50 Honda 1000 sidecar 189kmph.
    It does lap timing too.
    Chews thru the battery though.

It doesn't, still not sure why transponders aren't used since we have a good service for that and Marktime's lap times are comically inaccurate. The results work well, and the lap progression chart they produce is great, but the laptimes should be taken with a large pinch of salt.

Yeah I'll say! In the feature race the results say I only completed 2 laps then DNF when I actually completed all 6. WTF - haha.

I met him for the first time too, and I escaped relatively unscathed...

I was quite impressed with the outfit, he's done some serious work on it. It goes like the proverbial off the line! He just needs Popeye's arms for the steering and a wee bit of work on the braking system and he'll be right up there.

...this is one sidecar class coming around on their sighting lap...it was so cool to see them just keep on coming over the brow of the hill...never got to point the camera at them racing...it was far too exciting to fuck round filming them...
