I'm waiting to see the technology arrive from overseas. Parking meters that take a snapshot of the front number plate when the meter clicks back to expired, and the meter that automaticly resets the time left to zero once a car pulls away from the meter, so noone else can use those remaining minutes.
Anyway parking wardens aren't any thing new.

I scored a nasty ticket for parking on yellow lines, I had no idea they were there as there was ALWAYS cars parked over them. I just thought I got lucky to find a spot and ducked in. I was there for 10 mins max, came and found the ticket. Pissed me right off, I HAtE paying parking fines, but my own dumb fault so I coughed. The very next week a contractor came and painted out the yellow lines black. FFS!
