    Naughty Aucklanders

Anything new here? Dont think so.

Makes me glad I'm in a small town. There was some discussion a few years ago about putting on a parking warden for two hours a day. They haven't yet.

These councils, and it is not just Auckland, so badly over spend that they rely on these fines to balance the books.
Stupid thing is it probably costs them more to put the traps in place, police them, maintain them and administration than they make out of them. But that possibly comes out of another budget so the idiots don't manage to put the two together to notice that it is a lose lose.

Watch out for ' the asian gentleman ' in Newmarket. Our gang truck was registered but the mechanic had inadvertantly tucked the new label behind the old one = $200
I had to do a delivery to the event cinema with my van & trailer . the loading zone is covered in scaffolding . I stop in the broken arse carpark for 5 mins while we unload = $150 each for car & trailer. Little arsehole could see what we were doing, wrote the tickets from a distance, he knew better than to try & hand them to me.
Elliot St at 4.00am in the morning , we had worked all night & I bring the van around so I can load up gear, ticketed while I'm inside.

    I hate parking wardens.

As bad as Auckland is, Dunedin is worse. The likelihood of getting a parking ticket there is a thousand times greater.

The base-issue here is the fact that not enough of the parasites are being stabbed.

one minute its fuck the system, next minute its this, but yeah I agree in principle, but when there is no shortage of parking, imposing limits seems a step too far

Leave such a vehicle around here and it's 'Hi-ho, off to the scrap-man we go'.

Must be a bastard to get back to your vehicle - to find i's not there.

(A bit of a conumdrum there I feel...)

Try being ticketed when you're legal. Got one around the handlebar for not displaying current rego. It was current, and it was on display, if the gormless twit had looked at my plate for 2 seconds.

Council insisted I write in (when I rang), which I refused, telling them they're not wasting my time with their stupidity. Sent a pic via email as a compromise. Still took an hour of my time to fix a morons 1min of stupidity.

I agree... more need to be stabbed. Fuckers.
