Those builds are looking sweet Pete but you better get your skates on as J.O. is in April.

Lol. Hate to tell ya this mate...but those Fox Factory Shox and Forx are period correct items. I know this...as I was there *at the time*. And the black swingarm was period correct on the works bikes. The rims are purely my preference. But it's a race bike...not meant to be a show bike made back to original std condition. I've had plenty of those. Like this one...

cant fault that-exactly how classic's are meant to look, appropiatly colour co-ordinated for the era......were you the guy who sold a white yz 465 a few months back?,that was quite a gd buy and so was an air cooled 84? Rm 500 I had my eye on in colemans, disc front, ohlins rear quite tidy&colour/accessory matched too & only 4k-another bargan!......pays to save for a 'rainy 'or is it 'dry' day.

Yeah unfortunately the 465 was mine. Should've been worth quite a bit more than the $2800.00 it went for...but such is the state of things out there! I also parted with this semi recently... wish I didn't have had to...but needs must!

Sorry Bro! If I thought you'd ride red I would've offered it to you first! But it had to have been one of the sweetest RZ's in NZ. It cost me a fucking fortune to get it to that stage. I still want one...but will maybe get a 79 KX250A5 first/next.

Had Carl at Cemeck Engineering in Petone make me a sweet cable clamp as I didn't want to butcher the Fox Forx...he also made me a new axle in stainless. Does great one off work for a very reasonable price. About to do the final push and finish the fucking thing!!! Going from the stock 36mm carb to a 40...will clean the cyl up...so it should run like a raped ape. Using titanium fastners where I can.Click image for larger version.

Mofo is a clever bastard, and by crickey he does good work!

I didn't know what to expect when I first walked into his workshop, and possibly wouldn't have had him undercut the gearbox on the RF if I hadn't been told he was so good. The random stuff stacked to the ceiling would be great fun to rifle through over a week, just to see what's in there.
