Yep, and [img]'s can't be searched for in the attachment browser and they evetenly disappear leaving a broken link.
vB3.5 will allow you to attach an image from a URL.

I guess it also reduces the site getting sued for breaking (c). You cant link images into a site from another (unless its the same author). You must transfer the person to the other site to view the image.
