who's gonna get the dinners and breakfasts too?
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.

Me;the dinners are great as they're a proper meal often need to soak up the beers and after eating takeaways all weekend a welcome break although the 24 hour takeaways are real good too.
It's good to to be pinned down to a particular time to eat when spending a fair bit of the day drinking 'Man Coffees'
Breaky is just the ticket after a long night and saves you getting up and on the road and having to stop at a cafe.

Are the dinners and breakfasts a decent size? and what's the deal with alcohol if you can't byo? presumably you can buy booze there but how much is it?

yep they are pudding too, alcohol has always been at a fair price to encourage people to get to the rally and do their drinking rather than load up on the way

One thing about the Kiwi, among others of course, is it's clearly a survivor having moved with the times. Over the 39 years it has evolved to meet the needs of the 'customers' as the club will listen to entrants comments and observations and do their best to improve issues for the future. At the end of the day each person has their own experience at any given thing they do and to cater for over a thousand riders in winter conditions and fit that all in with what the authorities now demand is no mean feat. Get along and if it's a great experience you'll be lured back. It was my first rally in 1983 and I was hooked, used to be the only one I did each year over time I think i managed up to fourteen rallies one year now with them dissappearing up north I'm back to just the one although i'm on the hunt to get to more time and other motorcycling commitments limit me for heading south for some down there.
This'll be my 31st Kiwi and 30th friday night, they didn't have a friday night option first tiem I went and I still enjoy it as much as I did back in 83
