That's a big piece for a first tat. How long did it take?

5 sessions, first was a couple of hours, the others were around the 4 hour mark each.

Had thought about getting one for quite some time (years and years) but never really knew what. Then seeing something on the interwebs sparked some ideas, and all of a sudden the time was right. The idea didn't really lend itself to a sleeve or something like that, so chest it was.

MASSIVE piece for a first tat... my only "regert" about my first was that it was not big enough. I was supposed to get other supporting tattoos but money got tight.
    One day.
I want to get my sleeves and some more on my chest before I get my back finsihed. It has only been 20 years since I started my back... it can wait. Tattoos are forever and there are other tattoos I regret not having more than I regret not finishing my back.
I would probably feel differently if I knew what I want on my back as much as I know what I want on my sleevees and chest.

PS, any potential sponsors are welcome to get in touch. Shirley there is a few people on here who would pay good money to see me in pain for a few hours?

Post some pics of your previous practice on yourself and I might reconsider.

Just the homebrew, thanks. My tattoo guy was clear on being clean when ya go in, and I think that's fine advice

People who have been drinking bleed a lot more ... most tattooists I know won't touch some one who has been drinking for that reason .. it's something to do with the alcohol thinning the blood and stopping coagulation

It looks ok at first glance.
Not so much when actual able to see properly.

Much like a home car painting, proof is in the finished product. As in all done and healed. A good artists work still looks good 30 years later.
