    Fixed for you.

You know that every time you resort to name-calling, you are pretty much confirming that you are incapable of actual discussion and have no counter-argument to make (and by extension are therefore conceding the point)

Which gets to be a bit of a grey area, who decides who is giving freedom, and who is giving oppression? especially when both are delivered through the use of weaponry. I read some interesting sci-fi dealing with this point, the upshot was that a population could vote (anonymously, through tech) for armed intervention to overthrow the current govt and join a union thing, but had to have 80% majority or something like that to offset the destruction such an intervention would cause.

You got the name of that Sci-fi?

For sure though, its a massive moral and ethical quagmire - Me personally, I think there are a reasonable set of standards:

Not using NBCs on your own population
Not being complicit in the torture of your own population
    Not committing Genocide
Not allowing criminal or terrorist elements to operated unabated.

I'm sure there's others that could be listed - but the above covers off the worst of the worst. Then it becomes not who is free and who is oppressed, more a case of who is meeting the minimum standard to not get carpet bombed and who is volunteering for a B52 sized TNT delivery.

Might have been some Neal Asher I think.

Yeh but it is still reliant on an agreement or judgement from those outside the population being 'freed', which I don't disagree with as an unfortunate necessity, but it shouldn't be touted as the way things should be.

10 deaths from 24,000 cases over an 8 year period.

Like I've said, more kids die in their parents swimming pools.

And more New Zealand kids were beaten to death by their parents in that period.

Indeed, now there is legislation to prevent all 3 of those things! What wonderful times we live in

Not quite seeing the link there, do you think those who point out other's irrationality is a sign of retardism?

We've been over this, the VAERS database is user submitted data, and does not require any medical diagnosis for cause of adverse effect. It's basically a popularity contest for vaccination, but one where they don't bother counting the votes of people who think vaccines are a good thing.

And if you'd read the government report that the article links to, you'd have seen that less than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported to the FDA.

But we're well aware of your aversion to reading about stuff you choose to comment on.
