Was listening to a group of former US security officials discussing national pandemic measures with relation to Coronavirus. They were discussing the amount of disinformation about from various sources when a former Homeland Security official commented that much of the anti vaxxer misinformation currently abroad originates from Russia.

I'm sure they'll find willing dupes to peddle their wares.

There are 2 proven cases of autism being triggered by vaccine that I know of (along with a growing number of vaccine injury case). Neither of those cases happened in Russia. Neither case was prosecuted in Russia. Non of the medical establishments involved in proving the science of these cases was Russian. Also, how much of "that much" of the whole is Russia responsible for? Most or just much?

Typical knee jerk reaction to Russia making vaccination voluntary last year?

Yeah, we don need to stop pushing Homeland Security propaganda, because they truly do not have anywhere near the greatest track record when it comes to truth and honesty. That's why they bang up whistleblowers. Just ask that guy with the u.s. secrets, Snowden, just how bad they are. OMG, Snowden lives in Russia too... and you'd think with his access to the who's who of fucked up countries, that he would have gone somewhere safe. And yet he chose Russia (via China) over the U.S. for some reason, 2 countries that are red to the core eh.

Backing down in the face of "new" evidence pits the self against the self, because it requires one to take both sides whilst at the same time trying to sit it all out as a partial observer. Self against others is easier by comparison, because it's easier to dismiss the other than it is the self... coz that fucker follows you everywhere. Ommmmmmmmmmmm.

I wish it were funny though, coz they're slowing consensus into finding out for sure, coz echo chambers to protect the position of the self......... and another ommmmmmmmmmm, just coz the truth is ommy. Fucking ugly at times, but ommy that we might actually get to get some untainted answers for a change (coz life matters, right? no matter what the cost, right?), instead of beancounter arguments.

I'm just hoping that all these anti-vaxxers say a big no thanks when the Covid 19 vaccination comes out. Oh...also for Rabies which is, you know, 100% fatal to anyone contracting it. Yeah, good luck punters.

The reason it is tumble weeds here is because most sane people have realised that you guys in your echo chamber believe all your alt-facts. The rest of the audience just groans and says you're fucking kidding.

Oh you're not. Ok well go on congratulating yourselves. You have won the argument.

Not by convincing anyone of your crackpot theories that are 'proved' by Brian Tamaki or someone else equally ludicrous, but just through the realisation that talking to you is totally pointless.

When bitter satire is confused as gloating and not the beginning of a promising conversation...........

Vaccine injury exists. The true extent is affected by potential litigation. It's hard to prove a link when no one wants to prove it, and it's even harder when trying to find that link in a suspected cohort when life is far more complex. As such the "argument" will rage, people will be vaccine injured and have loooooooooong battles trying to prove it, and study after study will prove both positions to maintain the status quo. There is no anti-vaxx in wanting to know why people are being vaccine injured... unless it costs you money that is.

One should not confuse 'being triggered', with being diagnosed at some point after a vaccine with having autism. "Oh, he had a vaccination and then two weeks later was diagnosed with autism so it must have been the vaccine".

Yes it does. I worked for an intellectual disability provider for 12 years and one of our service users was born 'normal' and had a reaction to a vaccination at about age 3 which left her brain damaged. It was believed that it was an allergy to something used in the process of making the vaccine ... possibly egg protein.

No confusion here. The information available on the "judgement" of one case that took 13 years to prosecute the science before admitting that the vaccine "triggered" the autism, went into great detail explaining such. I fully grasp the concept and the difference between being the cause and being triggered (or whatever language was used). As such, I would happily still use the word cause in lieu of triggered, because without the vaccine having been administered nothing would have been triggered and the child would have likely gone on to live a perfectly healthy life.

In some instances, weasel words simply should not be accepted because it might open the gates to litigation i.e. admitting that what some have been saying may actually be not only correct, but potentially a nightmare given that autism rates are still rising quite frighteningly and we're still offering "ignorance" as evidence. Something is not right, and they are nor making it easy for people to prove links in any way shape or form. Direct observation is being used over a period of hours, weeks and even months, yes, because these parents are looking at a child and wondering if the change they have just witnessed is normal. In some cases the direct observation of hours has seen vaccination have a big sticky finger pointed at it, only for the issue to be sold as something else on the probability that most people state that vaccination is "safe".

We need to be doing better. We are not, despite the evidence, quite the opposite in fact, and all because money is in the way of us doing better. I Am not saying that vaccination does not work, but who it hurts is being covered up, and by default so is the true extent of the "damage" that vaccinations may simply be contributing to.
