Science tells us a compass needle always points north. But put a metal object next to it ... it wont. As a hunter on Stewart Island found out the hard way.
Observations tell us what is happening. What we have to figure out is why it is happening if it doesn't agree with science.
Not agreeing with science does not automatically make it wrong ...

If you can SEE what is happening ... it must be fact. WHY it is happening can be the mystery.
An untried (scientific) theory might happen. In theory it MIGHT work. But will it in practice ???
If it does, is the theory actually proved.. ?? or if it doesn't, is the theory wrong ... ??
You need to consider why it did (or didn't) work.
The principle of causation ... "the post-Cartesian attempt to see everything as governed by simple laws of cause and effect" ... the operation or relation of a cause and its effect.
"Cause and effect play an important part in the universe"

it must have been fighting for space with the other 11,400,000 sheep you made up yesterday, but plenty of wide open spaces for those ovines to room in that noggen of yours aye.........
Surveillance is watching to see what happens. Understanding why it is happening is the difficult part.
Understanding why the difference between expected result ... and why the actual result varies ... usually needs some degree of rational thought.
Judging by most of your posts ... that leaves you out.
Derogatory posts are your forte ...

No. I was wondering why a piece of metal could affect a compass. Still haven't got it.
Indeedy. There are almost as many ways to re-write history as there are to not making a light bulb.
Whose history and how far back... oh, and using which religion as the truth? Can discoveries be made on purpose when it takes a series of accidents to prove the discovery.

The needle of the compass is magnetic. Which is attracted to metal.
Got it yet ... ???
