Well the current crisis is certainly putting the risk from measles into perspective.

And I've never questioned whether vaccination 'works' or not.

My question has always been 'at what cost does it work?'.

Quite frankly, it doesn't overly bother me whether half the world's population dies. (And that even includes me in that half).

It might well be the only thing that saves the planet.

Agree, but two corrections. The planet is fine even without humans, we only live on a small part of the surface and arent significant, and the place would be a lot better if 100% of us died off.

Yes, there is nothing corrupt about Nature.

Human nature is where the corruption lies.

I didn't say you did, just stating what we both know... hence the thumb guy. As you say, 'at what cost' needs to become a known thing.

I'll put 450+ active and radiating out of control nuclear reactors rendering the planet as a dustball, more than 100% feasible scenario, forwards to counter your position.

Yeabut we won't be here to care. Remember, the earth, universe and everything is only relative to humans. That's how egotistical we are.

Surprisingly enough, some parts of nature are corrupt and will cheat to "get ahead": https://www.seeker.com/insect-panama...771175477.html

But yeah, Humans are the worst.

While that was an interesting read, the main thing I got from it was the absurdity of the idea that humans 'observing' insect behaviour somehow equates to humans 'understanding' insect behaviour.

lol... Yeah given what we know it's hard not to paint that picture. Learn a little more and the picture gets bigger though. Learn more again etc...

    Ego or wilful ignorance?

We? Egotistical. That's very divisive, not to mention a massive generalisation.

Divisive? Yes, but anyone who disagrees with me is wrong, so it doesn't count. Generalisation? Yes, but in this case it is true so not a bad generalisation.

Oh wow, you still believe that the evidence you are putting forwards means that you are wrong, and not the evidence? Strange way of dealing with things, but certainly popular.
