    Power valves?

    Hello Hoarders.

My new RGV250 is not so happy in the power valve area. I know plenty of you guys have piles of junk under you bench like me. If anyone has some 3 stage RGV power valve bits they want to get rid of. I would be much excited to hear from you.

Everything is flogged out. The guy that had it before me put them in with no springs. So they had no tention holding them in line. One is ok. The rest are poo. I thought maybe welding them up and re machining the holes and groves might be the go but not sure. New ones are a grand. There is a plan afoot to make some new ones.

I had one welded once (RG150) and remachined it back to size but I chickened out of using it, wasn't worth the risk of it failing.
Since then I've bushed a set which worked ok.
I dunno what the 250 would be like but I just ran my 150 full open (this can also be done with blank inserts).
It was fine on the 150 as they were only active in revs lower than they ever saw on the track (sub 10k).

If it's gonna be a track bike, I would just wire them open.

If you cock up a corner it can make you pay worse, but I've never considered clutch plates to be that over priced.

    True true.

I am going to test both options. I have custom components on the case. Glen is hatching a plan at the moment. The biggest problem I have now is that the bloody frame is bent. I have brought such a lemon. Oh well it will be on track soon and should be a bag of fun when all the problems are sorted.

anyone got a frame ha ha. I bloody had one that i sold for feck all a couple of years back. duh.
