    Peugeot Speedflight ignition failed

    Hi all,

Someone posted on the biking website I run, saying they've got a problem with the ignition on a speedflight - and wondered if what is happening is some kind of fault code. Here is the text of the message:

"bought a speedflight (2000 year model) 4 my son has lost spark, i only have red key. Red light on clocks flashing 1 flash then 2 then stops on is this a fault code can anyone help"

If anyone has any ideas, can they post a reply to the message at the following link:

Thanks for the help one and all.

check the manual out. You only use the red key *if* you only have to. Never use it as a regular key. He'd need to get a new slave key cut, then the red key is put in to set the new code, then taken out, then within something like 5 seconds, the slave key(s) have to be put in to have the correct code copied onto the slave(s), then put the red key away safe, and use the slave key instead.. I've had a couple of cars with key-codes, and that's what I remember from the manual..
