Scooter down.. 9:45 outside Westfield Pakuranga

Anyone heard about a scooter t-bone ing a car just outside Westfield Pakuranga this morning?

from the looks of it the car didn't give way or see the scooter and hence it went into the side of the car ..... the guy wasn't moving

and the driver was crying.... (what a mess) pray for the guy...

Hope the rider is ok.

Nothing has come throu via email from police comms centre yet.
But then they dont tell us everything that happens.

I hope the dudes ok 2.

I normally scooter through the same area around 9 or 10 in the morn but have been taking my car to uni recently because of work straight after.

Blue scooter... white helmet... no proper jacket or pants or boots... just t-shirt and jeans.

was turning right from the median across three lanes into the 1st and last enterence past the BP station.. car came out from one of the exits going across 3 lanes to the other side... so scooter into side of car..

Ahhh well he should have been wearing proper protection, most people on scoooters have no idea, they dont realise the cars are out to kill people on bikes....
