    Spark plug question

Spark plug question. If I replace a d8ea with a dr8ea, should I also remove the resistor from the spark plug cap? Or does it make little difference? TIA.

You'll be fine leaving the resistor in there
    They're just a 'noise filter'

In nearly all cases – apart from some very old low output ignition systems – resistor spark plugs can be used in place of the non resistor versions with no detrimental effect on engine performance, power output or vehicle emissions

But then if you want to do a cheap tune up, or annoy the neighbours ...

    OK, next question.
The bike has d9ea as std but has been fitted with d8ea's which is a hotter plug. would these be more likely to foul under rich conditions or less likely?

Look here, http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/tech_su...k_plugs/p2.asp "causes of fouling", may need a tune up with right plugs.

Why the fek do my spark plugs keep rusting? I wish they made a stainless grade of plug for bikes that ride through winter.
