Rusty fuel tank by the look of that, bit hard to see clearly though.

It's black, slight smaller than a sand grain for example. Anyway I was like FUCK THIS BRO and just took the whole bloody thing off so I can brake my bike more eh. Might drain the tank tomorrow and put fresh fuel in it, thoughts?

Probably a good idea to flush the whole lot out.![]()

I would still flush it. the fuel filter has probably got that shit in it too if its in the carb.

yea I will, should go to bed I think, I'm getting confused, lol. Finally found something in the manual bleating on about the float arm pin but I can't figure out what that is! well I think I know, just can't get it out.

The sediment in your float bowl isn't anything out of the norm for a bike with a bit of age on it...you could just about guarantee any older carburetted bikes that have done some kms would have just as much if not more sediment collected in their float bowlsthat stuff is ultra fine and easily gets through filter elements over time.
Thats why the filter tower in the tank isn't ultra fine mesh it's just meant to stop stuff actually blocking the fuel line itself and inline filters are meant to be replaced every so often...because that fine sediment is being drawn through at pressure & even though it doesn't seem much the size of the sediment & the fineness of the filter element the sediment eventually tears small holes and leads to larger foreign objects getting into the carb and blocking jets & ports in the emulsion tube
depends if someone has put one in in the past? clear conical shaped plastic gizmo somewhere in the fuel line between the tap & the carb.
If there is one replace it, and seeing you've got the carb off the bike set/check the float height, check the float needle isn't worn (a wear line on the pin end), check the slide needle isn't worn/bent and the primary & main jets are clean.
I don't think I saw one, do you have a picture of what that might look like set up on a bike? I have a vague picture in my head. How much would you think someone would charge me to clean my carb out proper and do the adjustments you speak of? TIA. This float shit is confuzzling me.
Edited to add, do you mean something like this?
where it goes tap, fuel line, filter, fuel line, carb? I.e you'd have to cut the line to fit it?

Those filters are less common
1st pic are the usual or a more smooth sided cone type
2nd pic one in place in a fuel line & yes the line is cut to put them in place
Someone with a bit of knowledge and specs for the float height could do it, A shop would charge a minimum labour cost (1hrs worth) but its easily done 15-20mins tops
The float level doesn't often need adjusting but it does pay to check it..... but if you dont have detailed diagrams and instructions dont touch it as get it wrong and it can seriously affect the way the bike runs....
