Nah, Bosslady and I do that all the time. Stoppies too. And we race each other, but her max speed is 160 and mine can only do 150 km/h, so she beats me all the time.

Just to make sure, a wheelie is when you wheel your bike out of the garage and a stoppie is when you actually stop at a stop sign right?

Eat some pies, sit back, crack the throttle open in first and up they come. Hard part is not to flip em.

Pretty sure wheelies are when you go full throttle and it slowly moves off the spot after a moment...

How much do you wish you could wheelie? You'll never own a bike that'll hurt you less trying.

I 50% wish. Wouldn't a dirt bike hurt less than say a gn? I have read about wheelies dunno if I could ever grasp how to do it though.

Not really about power. It's engine speed increasing faster than the drive wheel can without breaking traction. Hence my following comment...

Always use the clutch! Control is increased ten fold.

Watch this, to wrap your head around it.

that was a good video and makes sense now that I know what the insides of a carb look like.

Certainly true that dirt hurts less, but it's a little further to fall on the 230, eh?

Actually, the pain itself doesn't hurt as much as trashing the bike.

    Usually.

now that I think about it, I got the front in the air every time I first practiced hill starts on my little 125... not very far, mind you, and it was on an up hill... just pulled about 5-6k RPM and dropped the clutch... this was unintentional ofcourse
