If he has a set of feeler geuges, and doesn't know how to 'make' the right size, you don't want him working on the inside of your motor anyway.

    Spark plug by the way.
Flatty says he's got the right gauges so all good. Will tell him that we don't need a tappet driver, that's good. I think I'll wait to check plug and valve clearance tomorrow, flatties dirtbike is in pieces everywhere and I need his assistance but he's busy putting said bike back together..

I think he said he might not have ones small enough. But he does, so no matter.

agree maha, but either of those would want a 21" up front for offroad and both might be a bit leggy and heavy for the lass
...this one would be good, and a bloody good price too

The F isn't available in road trim. The R motor is more akin to one slug of an R1, than the WR it turns out.

So you can thrash the living shit out of it on the road and not worry about fucking it.

If you want a proper endurance bike on the road, the KTM is impossible to go past.

factory manual will say that just to scare you off or hit the owner with disposable cash to go running to the dealership to spend stupid coin on a tool with a gold core

clearance should be roughly 0.08 - 0.13mm thats about the thickness of a paper envelope edge but as long as you can physically feel the tappet moving it'll be better than no clearance at all; old rule of thumb a rattley tappet is a happy tappet

    It's valve recession
