For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
The Nissan 2.7 Diesel used in the Terrano is one of the most reliable engines the company's ever made ... I'd take one over a 3litre petrol engine any day.
If you are not into speed then the Terrano is a good beast - I'm not heavily into off roading, but certainly into hunting and fishing - and used to own land in the high country where it snowed. The 4x4 was the only way to get home sometimes ... and they are very nice to crusie long distance in ..
So as a medium 4x4 I'd recommend them for anyone not into serious off-roading ... for fun on the road I have bikes - I don't get excited about anything with more than two wheels !!!
"So if you meet me, have some sympathy, have some courtesy, have some taste ..."
lol thats why the Nissan 3lt V6 was voted the engine the decade in the 90s, TD27s are damn good old beasts even to the point when they're almost dead they just keep on plugging away.
RM3 terrano will trounce a Hilux surf/4runner any day of the week
lol just don't go bush in a MU farking things float in puddles
Pulled plenty of them out of the Rakaia river bed and that isn't anywhere near serious 4x4 territory
Here's my girl, hope the doctor can fix her!

Got an update... Will never ask my flatty to help with valve clearances, apparently they were way too tight, one was borderline and the other one was 0? Said he couldn't get any of his thickness gauges in there. Argh... haha... As for the carb, apparently the needle (the one with the black tube and diaphragm attached attached to it? whatever the proper name for that is) was slightly bent. He also said the emulsion tube (jet?) had worn (from the needle rubbing against it over time) turning it oval and that that was pretty normal for a bike like mine having done 20-30k (it's done about 20k now). So, I need a new needle and the emulsion tube I guess? Apparently it has to come from Japan, I hope it won't be too expensive!
