Coil over sparkplug issue - loose contact with plug

I appear to have an ongoing issue with the GSXR running on three cylinders. It is #1 cylinder and the plug is very wet fouled. Replacement of the plug has not helped and the coil measures the right resistance.

The problem appears to be with the contact with the spark plug. The other coils have a nice click as they connect with the plug, whereas this one doesn't. Looking into the coil, the spring tensioner looks buggered.

Has anyone fixed this without resorting to replacing the whole coil? This connector does not appear to be a serviceable part, suggesting a coil replacement is required.

    thanks

Bit of tinfoil on the top of the plug.

I learned something interesting about those plug top coils. They're nearly all exactly the same. The different part number usually only refers to the rubber bits that are over the plastic.

Look for one that looks similar, swap the rubber bits, and Robert's ya fathers brother.
