    Little pipsons report

Arrived nice and early at Manfeild wasn’t really sunny and cold air temperature. Got the bike set up and ready for qualifying.

    Qualifying
I was second to last out and only to find that the clutch was slipping so went straight back into pits and Jason Lincoln fixed it, so didn’t waste much time. Went straight back out and got in a few laps I didn’t want to push too hard as track was cold and wasn’t much grip. I ended up 3rd on the grid with a lap time of 1:38.707.

    Race 1
I got a good start and was second going into turn 1 but not long after Graeme Billington got past me, then Marc-Antoine Jacquet. I was doing quite good lap times and was keeping up with Marc but as soon as I touched the gas coming out of the hairpin on lap 4 I think, I lost the front and crashed out. That means I got no points for that race and lost a lot of my lead.

    Race 2
I got another good start and stayed in third this time into turn 1. Graeme Billington got past by point 3. I know I didn’t need to try keep up with Aaron Carr in the front or Marc as they are in 250 production and Graeme who is in 250 minilite. So I just went a good speed to keep in front of the 150’s and it was raining so didn’t want to crash again. I ended up 4th overall but 1st in 150’s with a best lap of 1:40.588.

    Race 3
It was raining a bit more now. But I was still ready to race. I got another good start and stayed third, but wasn’t long before Graeme Billington got past. I was just sticking at a good pace again as I was in front of 150’s. I wasn’t too far behind Aaron Carr and Marc. Marc crashed going into Higgins but lucky I was far enough behind him to not hit him. It wasn’t long before I caught up to Aaron Carr and had a little battle with him for the last two laps. I got past Aaron with a lap to go and stayed in front for about half a lap where he just got past and took 2nd overall, but I wasn’t too far behind in 3rd. I got 1st in 150’s and a best lap of 1:40.961.

This leaves me in the lead of the 150’s for now, but not a big lead because of the crash in race 1.

Big thanks to Jason Lincoln for helping when I crashed and over the day.

Also to PMCC for the bike and anyone else who helped.
