It's been an "interesting" day. Those who are the most vocal - almost to the point of obsession - are those who are "not interested". On that basis, it was a fait accompli that the KB thread on the royal birth would be started by someone who is not interested. Interesting.

(They seem modern enough to be happy regardless of gender, especially as a daughter would have been given priority throne succession ahead of any possible future brothers; the fact that she popped out a boy means it will be left to future generations of royals to take advantage of the female birthright to the throne).

Oh, congratulations to the new parents. I hope the media can give them some peace at least for a while. (Not like that dickhead I saw on the telly the other night blaming the public for the downside of his paparazzi job).

I thought it was the first born male that got the throne, that's why Charles is next in line instead of anne, although she is the elder,or am I having comprehension issues again?

For some reason or other, having a Royal family gives me a degree of comfort. Not sure why.
