Not forgetting the cost of an airfare to get to a Yamaha dealer with a demonstrator. Melbourne perhaps?

Well Im in Canberra, hope to have a demo soon, pricing same as FZ6R at $9990 on the road - bit of a long way to come for a demo ride tho

Not if one lives in Wellington. If I was interested in finding a Yamaha dealer in New Zealand with road bike demonstrators, I'd need to fly to Nelson or Auckland. Yamaha appears to have given up on this market for roadbikes. They're still selling quads, off-roaders and trail-bikes. The Yamaha NZ web site is a work of creative fiction and has been for some years. Sad really, particularly for a former FJR1300 owner who still has hankerings.

As in Aussie it's really up to the dealer what bikes they carry & what they hold as demonstrators as these are not supplied by Yamaha BUT the dealer

Went for first ride on the MT03 today, great fun around town, need to keep a check of who is around when taking off from the lights as easy to have front wheel in the air, might have to take it on a longer ride see what it's like on open road.
Steers well, responsive for a LAMs bike & fairly good brakes - for a learner or as a commuter it would be Great

Yeah, it's too cool. Yamaha knew they couldn't make that, and expect to ever sell another V-Max again.

First time I saw the concept bike, I got barred up for three days though!
