Well head along to Centenial Park tomorrow. See Tom Anderson, the club manager, and tell him I sent you. I was his first gliding instructor. He'll send you up with an instructor and you can soon see how different Taupo is to Omarama.

Then when Andrew comes over from USA he can also make an informed choice about where to go gliding.

Lol, probably not. Flying in that glider was the scariest thing I've ever done. Turned out I had a bigger problem with heights then I thought. Strangely skydiving was less scary and much more fun.

Definitely switching to 2 months Working is just an 'if it happens' thing. I have an engineering/manufacturing company in CA that I'll flow that through if possible, so hopefully no need for a work visa. It is by no means my top priority I want to meet lots of people too. I'm throwing around the idea of getting a pad near Auckland and using that as a 'home base'. I don't want to live out of a backpack the entire time! haha

Yea one month is definitely not enough time to fit in motorcycling on top of sailing, glider flying, scuba diving and working to boot! And like someone above mentioned, I really don't imagine you'll get any work in that field while you're here if you haven't sorted it before your arrival.
