    A new addition

We were told of an old Lab that was always chained up in the backyard. The lady would be away all day, get home and walk past the dog without ever talking to or acknowleging the poor thing. She told our friend the old girl was too much bother to waste time on her. Like a sucker, I arranged for the dog to come to our place for the weekend and see if we might be interested in giving her a decent home.

One day, and I can't see how we could send her back. She has come out of her shell and is sticking to me like glue. I took her and our little mutt down to the local park. She had a ball. Straight into the stream and it maybe a 'Man' thing but seeing a Lab running through the long grass and in and out of the water is one of those special times for me. Following me everywhere and sitting by my side, I'd be a bastard to return her to where she was.

Why the hell do dogs have to have big brown eyes?

She is 11 years old and showing some arthritis in her rear right leg, but she seems to be so happy. Dont know how we will feed her but I guess things that are meant to be will work out. Click image for larger version.

The world needs more people like you... and those who take on SPCA animals.

You'll be rewarded richly by one devoted Lab

Nice. Get her some Labrador-specific food. They gain weight pretty easily.

Some people really shouldn't have pets.
That was a great thing you did.

Get her a harness and you some decent sunny's and white stick... then take her oot on the streets telling her story and when the ladies crouch down to stroke her and coochy coo etc... you get gratuitous cleavage shot without suspicion of being caught. Just don't poke them in the eye with yer other stick
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!
