Resisting? Who is resisting anything? People are merely pointing out what they perceive as injustice, imho, and are being met with silence and contempt. I agree that there has to be another way, but that other way would be to do things correctly in the first place? i.e. put people before the economy. Heh, Ghandi was a smart man, was he protester ? It depends on the change you want, coz you can't make inroads to being the change you wish without knowing what direction you're heading in? If you wish to leave the financial aspect as a part of human life, people will never be the focus of society's goals and people will keep on protesting... but they protest for a reason, contrary to the puerile rhetoric that is spouted by the moronic Rand(ish) ideologues... more commonly, but not limited to, the right whinge.

Was Ghandi a protester or was he non compliant? To understand what I was saying, look at it the way Mother Teresa stated it : I will never attend an anti-war rally; if you have a peace rally, invite me. There are other ways of doing things, if you are against something, you are resisting something. Maybe we should hold a rally for change, rather than protesting against the way things are.

What annoys me most about going to any political meeting where candidates are there to ask questions is that your question so often has to be pre-submitted. You cant have a stand up argument with a politician like the good old days. It just wont do to get them out of their comfort zone.................

You don't want them to come across as not knowing what they're talking about do ya? That would make them look unprofessional and could instill a lack of confidence in the representatives of the people. That will simply not do. I fully agree with you though. They should be able to walk the talk at the drop of a hat or at least know who in their party would be the best contact to answer their questions. Memory loss and seeking advice every 5 seconds does not fill me full of confidence.

Wasn't it a peaceful protest? but I take your point. I'm against what is because there is a better way of doing things, so I'm not resisting what is, I'm augmenting it. The resistance is coming from what is. I think the idea behind Occupy was a rally for change and that rally was resisted with extreme force... to the extent that rules and regulations were brought in to stop it from being allowed to continue. Either way though, a protest/rally is used to highlight awareness of the change that people would like to see, however without that change being represented in a recognised format, i.e. politically, it will come to nought as we have seen over the last however many decades and in however many guises. Shame it takes so much money to get off the ground.

    day 6

Ran out of condoms so only do anal now. The rest of the hippies have started to grow weed in the park. We piss into a filtration system which gives us drinking water - but the water is still yellow. We will have our demands met, I am sure of it.

Fucking fascist engineers, rain water is free, but we are denied this basic right to collect rain as drinking water

The grass in the city park is dying under our tents. We will pray for the lawns soul, given to free our brothers and sisters.

Tomorrow will bring more day trippers to our tent city. Hopefully some with money

Left earlier than planned, and returned earlier too. We were back in Gore BY 11. Saw some nice cars though.
