Lots of good baiting here , Is anyone here considering the Tower Hill climb run next year ?. Surely someone here on a 1000 can do better than the 1999 R6 , or does it come down to rider.....
Hopefully will be back in NZ in time for this next year . Riding's not up to the top / Mid times , but would love to give it a go !

Mostly down to the rider. My times were not that great this year when I had the SP-1 but it's all good fun. I would be keen to enter next year but I think I will be honeymooning

You're going to be under pressure Deano to keep the CBR flag flying high. Bad news is Tony S told me the other day he would probably enter..bugger for the rest of you, may as well stay home! Lucky for me I'm up north next weekend and that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
I guess my winning flying and standing 1/4 times in Nov 04 will be blow away next weekend. I see Hayden put in a better standing 1/4 time in the Sept 04 event (10.04 secs vs my 10.08 standing 1/4) Close enough. No matter it was a rush seeing the speedo top out at 299.
Tony doubted the standard K5 GSR will better his record on the K3 because that was heavily modified.
Look forward to hearing how you all do.
ps- Deano that was an impressive sight heading down the hill last weekend meeting you and Hayden flat out coming towards me round a bend. The Repsol looks shit hot coming at ya at full noise!

Hayden reckons he can derestrict the speed limiter on the CBR pretty easily, but I dunno if he will do it for the sprints......gotta keep something up his sleeve don't he.

Flat out ?????? Full noise ?????

Oh that's right, on that special controlled road only we know about eh...

But really, I've actually been taking it a bit easy so far. I made the mistake of getting carried away on the SP and binned it early on, so I want to get to know this one real well first.

If I could only get away with it.....dawn breaker, b&e for breakfast then into some hill climb action.

Sounds like a mint honeymoon to me.

It looks like the weather is going to clear by the weekend.

What time is everyone planning on heading over...we could get the convoy thing going on!

I'm going to be late - prob see you all over there at 1pm ish to catch the end of it. I'll try not to do a Harley trick like those fellas last time and come tootling down the road towards a bike doing 250kmph+ towards them!

Caltex at 9? That's pretty early, but we can get a good watch before the heat comes on.

    I think I might have a go.

I WILL SET THE SLOWEST TIME AND TERMINAL SPEED

I am pretty much sure of it, unless someone shows up on a 50cc scooter.

Then next month I will come back with my new exhaust and petrol wasting carbs and still be the slowest, but I will be 1% less slow :-)
