Glad you managed to get home on that dirty old triple of yours.
Seriously I hope it's not too major and that we see you on next weekends ride.

WT: re Tony.....on his second flying run the timing gear played up and didn't stop when he passed the finish line. His first run was 4.82 which equated to average speed of 298.75kph. He would def have broken the 300kph barrier on his second run, as he was doing 500rpm more, and you could tell he was slightly faster. On his third run the wind had gotten up a bit and he did a 4.83.

Results will be posted on the website (www.cdd.co.nz if I remember correctly). It sometimes takes Peter a few days to get the results up, just keep a watch on it.

Slingshot: didn't realise your bike was playing up - hope it's fixed soon.

Did anyone get pics of any of the et al family? ie red Ducati 996, Tigerblade Fireblade, blue SV650S. We arrived late morning and only did the afternoon standing sprints.
PS: Thanks Dafe - we have seen your shot of Gunner.

Are you sure there is any limiter on the Blades? I have never heard that before. The only speed restrictors for Hondas that I'm aware of are those roadside signs with a black stripe across the middle or the ones with "100kph"

So doesn't anyone know what the best times were or do we have to wait 4 months for the organisers to update their website like last time.

awesome day ! turned up in time to wait for one of the runs to finish and hear a bike getting the berries strapped out of it and what do ya know? its me mate nick sounded good too man. Altho the flashy auckland type bike with orange bits looked better and sounded nicer to me than that orrible gixer (troll)
bit of a kb get together which was cool and with lynda yelling out all the detailed information, like address, age and bank ballance, added a bit of humour
Btw LB, who was the old guy on the vulcan (i think thats what it was) sitting next to you ? (seen in the picture with the ghost helmet) second time Ive ended up chatting to him at some random spot. Nice guy and he can shovel that bike around pretty fast too. Mind you I now know hes got 50 something years of riding experiance, so no wonder he knows what hes doing.
Best part of the day was riding to gladstone pushing the bike along and the gixer went past us in the opposite direction at wat looked like top speed.

rocks in his head, he must have boulders for balls

Don't know what the official times are but I do know that a CBR1000 blade is faster than a GSXR600.

Well there are 400 reasons for that to happen Jimbo.
Bet you cleaned up the 600 class though and maybe those cheaters on 636s as well.

Quickest 600 by a long chalk mate. Mind you the only 2005 ZX636 there was piloted by powerlifter Nic who weighs in at a paltry 115kgs. Kind of defeats the power to weight ratio thing really.

Coming down for the runs in Nov?

Who kept buttoning off half way down the timed section too. Did he get a good run in the end??

Not sure. I think he did. He was amping at the end of one run so I guess he got the measure of it.

    Well done that man.
November hey.. Well only if Deano stays away because I heard that that orange paint is a weight saving of 1.006 grams. There's no place for cheaters. Mind you he never cleans it so by Nov that will be another 5kg clinging to the Repsol.
    Did Aaron turn up?

I'll have you know I've cleaned it four times in about 6 weeks. (My bike that is)

I might have to remove the mirrors next time though.

I'm not 100% sure about a speed limiter on it - Hayden is investigating.

LB - you were hilarious - it was great to know who was about to do a run and a "few" of their details. Got some crowd intreaction going which was excellent.
