Yep, I have the Ring H4's fitted. Just looked on the Autobulbs website and you're right in that H9's are limited but there is one upgrade. Here's the reference: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H9-...hite-pair.html

    Good luck!

I actually, slipped a set of HID's into the bike. Phenomenal low beam, but high was still as dark as night. So I think its a reflector issue, rather than a bulb.

    Thanks' for that though.

No worries! I haven't had any direct experience with HID bulbs but vaguely remember reading somewhere that the position of them relative to the reflector has to be the same as the OEM bulb and if it's not, you get focal length losses. Makes sense on the face of it but haven't worried about following it up as what I've got now is fine. The round headlights of the Triple give a much better spread of light than my Blackbird. Because of the shape of the 'bird headlight, it gave a sharp light cutoff on the road edges. Not good when you were leaned over on a country road with no lighting!

Eggsacary my problem, leaning into the void. I have to use the reflection from road markers & cats eyes to gauge where I'm going. Says a lot about modern tires that I ride over bad patches of road in the rain which I would avoid in daylight with no issues.
Mind you, I'm riding in a relaxed Zen state of mind, no point in worrying about what I can't see.

Hahaha! I seriously thought about adding spotlights to the 'bird for long night rides like the Grand Challenge through the back roads but totally solved the problem by selling it! Spots might be an option for you!

Yup, just about bought some engine bars recently but had to spend the pingas elsewhere unfortunately. I practice gymkhana so the bars would lessen the anal clamping & having some day lighters on the bars would be grouse, too, for the same reason but different circumstances.
    Meanwhile I'm bracketless.
