Not really anything to add sorry. I'm on my second bout of the flu in a month, am back to 90% but it's taking weeks for the last 10% to go.

I don't have any other health issues currently (that I'm aware of). I probably should lose some weight, but that's another story.

One of the women at my work, just turned 41, no medical history of anything, died suddenly of a massive heart attack Monday morning. Shit. We're all still in shock.

Take care Paul. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Yup - starting to feel a LOT better due to the antibiotics but early days. I actually managed a few hours sleep last night without coughing my guts out too...

This has been really interesting as it seems that this year the coughs and colds really have been a bit worse and longer lasting than the usual. I wonder if the warmer than usual weather has been a part of the reason?

One thing is for sure, I need to loose a bit of weight and get my fitness back to where I was a few years back... Maybe a KB discount at Jenny Craigs? (PT)

    Cheers

I can organise that (seriously). But most of the Auckland bunch I've met are quite....lithe.

I've been back on it for 4 days. Fit for the summer - you bewdy!

But good news (that you feel better) - you'll need your strength when you find my latest attack.

Whatever they gave you for the flue has killed your immune system. Get back on a healthy diet and keep it easy on the excersise if you do heaps (ie. cut down). Often takes a few months.

Pish - I'm as fat as a house and as ugly as a.... a.. really ugly thing... The worst thing is, when I had a real job and had to move heavy things I was quite strong and fit. Fit enough to play B grade basketball and a bit of A grade club stuff as well (which at 5'11" you have to be quite fit to do)

Now I sit in an office and think. My brain is no stronger for the exercise it gets and my body is also wose off and I'm just as poor...

    Hmmmm....

Anyway - where is the attack Dave.... Or should I save some time and just give up now?

a Dr in Nelson swears that if you bring someone suffering with whooping cough to 10,000 feet for 20mins they will be cured.
There was an article in the newspaper about it a while ago and for weeks there was letters saying that their brother went up and was cured (other stuff like that)

It was also mentioned this treatment wasn't isolated to whooping cough...

Nothing worse than a reformed (insert vice here) going on about their 'former' vice, but i will anyway.

3 games of basketball a week then the ankle blew out, lots to zero exercise, moved to New Zealand and was 160kgs overnight. Good paddocks here mate.

Try the jenny craig thing. it's easy, the food is really good, convenient, and there is absolutely no hype. just support.

It requires commitment - you have to want to loose weight- it needs some willpower and about $120 a week for the food. But if you back it up with some light exercise it works a treat. (pun intended).

It is honestly one of the best things i have EVER done.
