    Trials tyre vs semi-slick

    Hey guys,

I got a bit of an interesting dilemma. I currently have near new Duro HF307s on my NF75. These are considered trial tyres. I got them because they were the only 2.75-14 tyres available in NZ. Now I just saw some Michelin M29s tyres that should fit at cycletreads. The M29s are 90/80-14 (I gather that'll fit if the 2.75-14 fits). Apparently the M29s are semi-slick. So what I'm trying to figure out is which of these tyres will give me better wet performance. I've heard that semi slicks aren't the best in rain, but I've heard the same about trial tyres on road too.

What are your thoughts. Is it worth putting another $250 down for the Michelin tyres?

A bit of a different question, but related. Should I fill my trials tyres to the same PSI recommended in the manual if the manual calls for road tyres? Or is there an adjustment I need to make?

    Thanks guys!
