    Ze Germans doing it right?

So after watching something on YouTubes today I forgot to quit & YouTubes decided to auto play me something else to which I found myself watching a program called "make me a German", it's a BBC program about a couple of Brits living the German life for a bit.
I quite liked that the kids weren't bubble wrapped, the women could spend time with the kids, sundays are "shutdown" & their work system seems pretty good too; of-course with the good comes the bad like not being able to modify your vehicles (not mentioned in the prog & due to appear here soon) or no work on Sun i.e. you can't do home projects, anything that makes noise is banned etc

So does the good outweigh the bad? That's upto you. Regardless it's a not a bad watch to get a glimpse of ze German way.

It's a very stereotypical was of "our neighbours to the east". All 'first world' countries come with pro's and con's which outweigh each other... if you only focus on the good parts you will be very disappointed.

A lot of germans have jobs ... but a lot of those jobs are really REALLY bad payed (at the lower end of the social spectrum) for instance

In europe we look with a lot of jealousy to a lot of stuff in new zealand ... the grass is always greener on the other side

Altho the beginning of that says the Germans earn more than the Brits & work less hours while being more productive (productivity coming from the fact you're at work to work! none of this KB stuff at work for ze Germans)
The rents claimed to be really cheap as with the kindy fees (can only go by what's in the program)

But yes good always has bad; I wouldn't like not being able to tinker with my own vehicles (something I'm not looking forward to here), would hate to live in an apartment, not being able to do home projects on Sun wouldn't be to my liking either, I've also heard they are very strict with procedures everything will be done in order by the book!
