Therefore, ALL sex outside marriage is wrong and a sin .. and your position that sex is fine as long as it is not marriage cannot be supported by Chriostainity - it doesn't matter whether it is same-sex or different sex .. outside marriage sex is a sin

Now, if you remove the religious overtones from the Middle Eastern-derived monotheistic religions - as most of us have - then you have no real need for marriage as a religious blessing ... it's purely a social contract ... two people publically stating their comitment to each other as a couple ... Hence, we have changed the social contract , as any society can ...

This is correct, sex was never the original sin as after Eve was created, Jehovah brought her to Adam and performed the first marrige ceremony and told them to fill the earth with their offspring.

Throughout the millennia, marriage has always been between male and female of all cultures. Homosexuality has been around almost as long as Mankind and practised in most cultures, always as a minority and mostly looked down upon, with some notable exceptions.

From the point of view of nature, it has no advantage to the human race whatsoever and is often characterised by violence and anger. The practice is disadvantageous to the human race and spreads disease and disorder. This is not just my opinion, it is a matter of historical record.

Notable here, is that the members posting are not homosexuals and would probably be repulsed by the thought of having sex with another man, yet are extremely critical of anyone speaking against it. I find that to be hypoctritical.

My personal view is that everyone has the inherent right to make their own choices in life, and also the responsibility to accept the consequences without complaint and blaming others for said consequences. Personally I find the practice repulsive and that is nothing to do with religious persuasion, either. I couldn't even watch them kissing on TV.
