    GeForce 9800GTs in SLI

My Radeon HD 6870 GFX card shat itself today. It turns out both my flat mates have nVidia GeForce 9800's surplus to their requirements.

Has anyone had any luck running dual graphics cards and would these two perform just as well or better than my old Radeon?

    Thanks

6870 seems well above a single 9800 GTX, so unlikely to see SLI coming close.

    Wow that was quick.

Yeah quite a difference. In the interim it may be worth doing. It's not going to cost anything so...

I used to have a 9800GT SLI setup. It's far too old and slow for gaming these days though, and you're severely limited by the lack of VRAM at anything more than cheap cellphone type screen resolutions.

Haha found that out the other night. Tried to run modern warfare one and it shit itself. Had to reinstall the drivers etc.

Bought Call of Duty 2 (yeah the second one), thought it'd be fine bumping the res up........CRASH.

Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and fork out some Sir Eds.
