    Aprilia RS125 Escapades

Welllllll my RS125 has stopped working... again.

The bike was turned off, I accidently bumped the back side of the right handlebar (Where the throttle cable is).
Decide it's time to get going and when I turn the bike on (Already warmed up, just went for a drive) it revs out to the full rpm range before I kill it.

Think this isn't how it's meant to be, mess with the throttle cable a bit (notice that there seems to be a bit of rust comming from inbetween the plastic coating & handlebar connector).. Turn bike on again, procedes to rev out once again, I have another fiddle then decide to try it one more time..

This time it revs out full again, however when I kill it this time I head a weird *wurling* sound like something is widing down.

Ever since I cannot get the bike to start, new spark plug, checked compression, checked that the cylinder/sparkplug smelt like fuel (it sorta did), drained carb (Lots of fuel in there).. Tried to electric start it, then tried to bump start the bike, no luck.

    Any ideas? D:

Buggered throttle cable maybe. Could just be routed wrong and not returning, so the throttle is open a bit. With no load on the motor, the thing will rev to oblivion with fuck all throttle on.

So when you close the throttle you should hear a clunk as the slide hits the bottom adjuster. If not then it is stuck a. Bit open and may be hard to start. Not sure what a Widing is though

outer sleeve of the throttle cable pulled out of the hand control or even the top of carby from the knock.

    Alright!

    Double checked the throttle cable
    • Checked up by the throttle housing (took that apart, still functioning)
    • Checked inside carb, throttle was still affecting that. (I'll throw video up later tonight)
    • Checked if airbox was fucked, (which it is - Held in by zip ties)...
    • Checked front/rear sporket for wear, there was some but not sure how much is needed until it gets replaced..

Still no go, left it into a trusty motorbike mechanic as it's most likely out of my expertise range.
Should be interesting to see what the problem is, and let's hope it's not expensive!
