    What about an external ballast resistor? does it have one? If so check it out.

    Have you checked for spark at the ht lead from the coil, if there is spark there then the problem is in the dizzy. Test the ignition module and pick up coil too.

    This light means there'as a fault in the brakes - possibly needs new brake pads ... maybe a low fluid level - maybe a sensor fault. It may well be that your car is hooked up so it wil not run if there is a fault in the brake system ... but don't quote me on it - since cars got computers I stopped trying to fix the fuckers ..
