I'm pretty desperate to fix this thing properly so I can sell it. I need a reasonably priced motor that goes.

That's it, simple, easy. Don't need carbs, don't need electrics, no starter is fine, no covers is fine as long as it's pretty much mechanically complete and not broken.

A couple, one just sold one for $500.

If I can get a front intake camshaft to complete my spare motor I could throw in fresh bearings and do it that way. I'm going out now to pull what's left of the sump off the block so I can feel depressed about how many motors I've gone through.
