Yep, some wonder whether or not someone else will bring the ideas to life in another company.

On the other hand, Garmin has now entered the market with their own product... http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/news/ar...aunched-38170/

Funny this should come up, I've been considering a camera for a while now but didn't like the look of gopros.

I saw the Garman camera on uncrate yesterday and thought it looked perfect.

The other one I like the look of is the Looxcie - doesn't seem to be as major a brand but looks like a nice camera.

The Sony one seems to preform pretty well & seems to be one of the better ones in low light

Agreed. Meant to be best at the job but the look is just not good.

Heard the Sony is meant to be the second best to the Gopros.

Still not sure I want video evidence of my mistakes Thou the twats I've seen the last two days deserve to be videoed not surprised that poor lass was forced into rolling her car at J'ville. Bloody full moons and dangerous lane changing.

I received a letter from Qantas Monday saying I had to spend 54000 points or lose them! cant remember the last time I flew with them and didn't realise I had that many points. GoPro Hero 3 arrived in the post today

Dont care how bad it looks when it came from the Qantas shop! Cheap bullet camera used once going on trademe! But yeah I was only talking to someone today about the Contour cameras and he had never heard of them.

For trail riding they are nasty, have seen vids of the cameras catching on trees and trying to pull riders helmets off.

You just have to be smarter than the tree.

Helmet is the worst place to mount a camera anyway. That's the best bit about the go pros, the variety of mounting options available.

The bad thing is that much of the hardware is made of cheese. One to (maybe) two year life expectancy for most of the brackets in moderate use.
